Ms. Ramy has over twelve years of experience representing clients in connection with international arbitration cases, corporate law and international business law matters in Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. She has an extensive knowledge of the Iraqi legal system and has successfully advised numerous clients in connection with international oil & gas transactions, international arbitrations, M&A deals, banking law matters, and regulatory issues. Ms. Ramy has significant experience in performing “on the ground” due diligence in connection with large M&A transactions and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
She has significant experience establishing entities in Iraq, including: Emirates Airlines, Al Safi Danone, Kout Food Group, Hunt Oil, Setcore Petroleum Services, Sakson Drilling Company, and International NGOs (Medecins sans frontieres, Handicap International, Action contre la Faim, World Vision International, and others).
She also has extensive expertise in dealing with local government agencies in Iraq, providing for a better understanding of foreign companies needs in Iraq and facilitating a smooth implementation of their projects through tailored legal advice.
Educational Background:
Estelle Rami is graduated from Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne University with a Masters in Business Law and Taxation and from Saint Joseph University in Beirut with an LLB in general law.
